I have learnt that God intervenes in my affairs when I pray and have numerous testimonies of this in 2007 (star view). Over 2007 I have learnt to have my life definition have its roots in God.

Like some, the sand may represent unanswered prayer, persecution or some other calamity when things went wrong for us in 2007. Or it may have gone wrong for someone or people close to you and me. Here is a short list; dear ones close to us went to be with the lord after sickness or accident (we shall not forget them) and we had suffering attributable to natural and man made disasters in some of our countries over the year (The London youth murders, Ghana -Uganda flooding and election ciaos in Kenya, etc are cases here – please pray).

Because of these and other examples of evil and suffering in the world many may think it logical to conclude God is not existent. If God is non existent then the evolutionists are true – every thing (including 2007) is an accident (but are they?; see.. ). Let’s consider this a bit …how can evolutionary development be the basis of moral standards? Nature is neutral and has no moral values. Our sense of right and wrong fair and unfair just and unjust is a strong clue there is some transcendent standard that affects us all (This conscience contradicts instinct and desire). Evil points towards the existence of God not away, our society in the UK today would have us get rid of God but this does not solve the problem of evil and suffering. Rather we are trapped in hopeless ‘why did this happen in 2007’ questioning and looking for somebody to blame.

If you are like me traumatic experiences often put my convictions to the test (sand view) ! God forgive me for questioning his action or inaction – blaming him or believing him less or cease believing him (his word) at all because he did not come to my aid at times in 2007. I should remember I owe my life to him and can not order Him about. Did you pass the test in 2007? What lessons have you and I learnt?

I have learnt that God is holy and in him there is no darkness (evil) at all (star view). God made the world a perfect place to be and I am made in the image of God, sin distorts this image and destroys God’s creation but Jesus resorts it. [Rom8:18-35+] I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us (star view). The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that, the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness (star view). We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit inter-cedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. .

[Rom 8: 28+]…And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,' who" have been called according to his pur­pose (star view). For those God foreknew he also pre-destined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also jus­tified; those he justified, he also glorified. What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things'? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who jus­tifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died more than that, who was raised to life is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall sep­arate us from the love of Christ'? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?.....nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (star view).

Neither you nor I should consider our suffering (sand view) as a cruel divine joke or necessarily a punishment for wrong doing. We have to remember our limitations, but by faith not be boxed in our thinking to time and space.

Now, God has given you and I independence and free choice. I am not a puppet but responsible for every word thought and deed. I therefore by choice contribute to the evil and suffering or holiness and blessing (by God’s design) around me – read Jobs impressive declaration of faith [Job 1:20-21], ‘Naked I came from my mother’s womb and naked l shall depart.
